I’ve always loved art. I grew up drawing, painting, and reading art books. I took classes and visited galleries. I never planned to make a career of it, but I thought it would always be a part of my life.
Years later I realized I had lost my passion for it amidst the routine of daily life. After a marriage, career, and children, my days were so full I didn’t have much time for anything else. A few months ago, I decided to pick up a pencil and paintbrush again, and I have been honing my skills ever since. Art isn’t something you wait until you have time to do – you make the time.
I now create art for fun and do custom work by request. I don’t know if I will ever be a full time artist, but for now I’m happy to have it be a part of my life again. Everyone should have passion for something in their life, and it’s never too late to find it.
